The Small Business/DVBE Outreach and Education was created to act as liaison between the Department of General Services, Procurement Division and certified small business suppliers. Our main objective is to promote the use of small businesses within state government using a variety of methods. These methods include:
- Ensuring that small business is appropriately defined and broadly accepted.
- Unification of government entities affecting small business.
- Recognition by agencies that contract with small business is important.
- Using database technology to track information regarding the use of small businesses.
