Adaptive Technology Services is a company operating since 2002 specializing in services in the field of assistive technology for the blind and visually impaired. Services include the following and are provided on-site or at our lab/office: job site and residential evaluations, technical support and consultation, scripting, system set-up and customization, telephone support, individual and classroom training in both assistive technology and popular applications such as MS Office. Provides the following services: An in-person evaluation of a blind or visually-impaired client's current computer skills, specific needs and goals. We determine the best computer system, (hardware components, programs and adaptive software) for that individual, and provide a written proposal detailing the system's components, costs and the need for each. We procure all components and software and build the system. The computer system is delivered to the client's home or place of business. We set it up, install it and provide introductory demonstration of all components. We provide each client with trouble-shooting and technical support as they become accustomed to their new equipment. We provide specific and on-going training in-person or by phone in the use of the adaptive computer system including JAWs, ZoomText, Magic, Open Book, Windows, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, e-mail, etc.

I provide a wide variety of adaptive equipment/software computer services, including setup, installation, configuration, integration of hardware & software devices, troubleshooting, repair, modifications, upgrades for software and hardware components related to visual aids, voice recognition, ergonomic keyboards, pointing devices, microphones, voice recorders, telephone accessories, and document assistant items. Available services can include training on applications such as Dragon Naturally Speaking and other voice programs, as well as computer desk setup as part of the adaptive computer system. I can assist with Internet access issues, resolve email problems and connect personal computer's to communicate with each other. I also provide Computer instruction services for any hardware or software needs, and provide product purchases related to all computer environments.
