PLEASE NOTE A CHANGE TO THE INFORMATION ON PAGE 2 OF THE SPS UNDER SCOPE, PARAGRAPH 2:
New Language
As defined in Public Contract Code (PCC) Sections 12100.7(e) and 12101.5(b), this State Price Schedule (SPS) is considered to be a contract of indefinite quantity for one or more similar goods, information technology, or services to multiple suppliers. In acquiring goods and services through this SPS, state agencies are required to solicit and obtain offers from three (3) suppliers per Management Memo 02-12. As referenced in PCC Section 12100.7(g), ordering agencies may consider value-effective selection criteria in choosing a supplier. The selection criteria may include, but not be limited to, supplier experience, product availability, prompt delivery requirements, maintenance service, training and price. Agencies must identify and publish the selection criteria to be used and evaluate each supplier on the same selection criteria. The contract file must be documented as to the solicitation method and selection criteria used.
NOTE: Old Language - Replaced in its entirety with the new language above.
This SPS does not require the use of formal written bids. An order can be placed directly with any vendor on the list which is included with this SPS. It is not necessary to obtain more than one price quote, and telephone bids, with standard documentation, are acceptable. However, state purchases should be done with adequate knowledge of the fairness of the price. Therefore, those making purchases under this SPS are strongly encouraged to research available resources, such as those contained in the vendor list, in order to obtain quality products and services at a fair price.
Please note we have added six (6) new vendors, revisions/changes to six (6) vendors, and two (2) vendors have been deleted from the State Price Schedule as follows:
