Preprinted forms for Bidder Instructions should be used in all commodity solicitations and informal (less than $500,000) information technology solicitations. Should you have a need to do so, these Bidder Instructions may be supplemented with additional instructions tailored to the specific solicitation. Note that as the Bidder Instructions are revised, new effective dates will be used; old forms will continue to be maintained since they continue to apply to those solicitations containing them.
If a formal ($500,000+) information technology solicitation is being conducted, the model Section II, Rules Governing Competition, document is to be included in the solicitation in place of the Bidder Instructions. Contact the Technology Acquisitions Section at (916) 375-4563 to obtain the most current version of Section II.
Bidder Instructions are used in ALL commodity contracts. While the standard form Bidder Instructions may be used for informal (<$500,000) information technology solicitations, the model Section II, Rules Governing Competition, will replace the Bidder Instructions in formal ($500,000+) information technology solicitations.
